(A) Data shows significant statistical difference in BMI levels between male (31.37 +/− 0.69, n = 68) and female (35.31 +/− 1.16, n = 29) patients treated with clozapine. BMI levels in female patients also showed significant statistical significance compared to female controls (27.38 +/− 1.01, n = 17) and male controls (27.24 +/− 1.69, n = 10) (p = 0.0001, male patients and female controls vs. female patients, one-way ANOVA and Bonferroni post-hoc test). A significant correlation was observed for S100B concentration and BMI in female patients treated with clozapine (Pearson r = 0.4868; p value (two tailed) = 0.0117).
