Physical wellbeing

Relating to physical functioning (e.g., disability), diseases and disorders of the body, and pain

Social wellbeing

Relating to social activities/networks, relationships, substance use/abuse (drugs, alcohol, and smoking), housing and employment/financial wellbeing.

[Note: We have defined substance use/abuse as a social health issue because it exists within a social context, affects the social environment surrounding the person, and arises from the social and cultural context]

Interconnection between wellbeing areas

Articles reporting an interconnection or association between physical, mental, and/or social wellbeing (i.e., between any two or all three)
